Our Causes
Our cause is to protecting children by supporting struggling families emotionally and financially. We support single mothers and orphans. Asylum seekers and refugees. All are part of this support. We want to help children by helping families staying together and preserving their dignity with immediate support and a long term support.

Your donations is vital to support the charity and it’s projects. Without them we can not survive. You can donate to a specific project or allow us to use it where we think it’s most needed.

LMF Monthly Activities
We are collecting donations from individuals, families and charities and collaborating with local and national charities to help and support asylum seekers, refugees and those who are in need.
Share a plate
On the first Saturday of each month, local families are sharing a Halal plate with asylum seekers and refugees’ families.
Food Parcels
We are working closely with local charities, NGO organisations and individuals to collect and distribute Halal food parcel on the first of each month.
Giving Away Day
We store the donations of the general household items and toys at Al-Azhar mosque and every month we open our storage for our local asylum seekers and refugees to take what they need.

The foundation is started by Lord MacLeod, a Lebanese refugee himself. Lord MacLeod has been involved in charity work since 2001. and has worked passionately with asylum seekers, refugees and other vulnerable adults in various capacities. He was also a trustee of the Black Minority Ethnic Community Organisations Network (BECON) for 5 years.

Our Vision
Towards an inclusive and supportive community where vulnerable families especially asylum seekers and refugees feel safe, protected and empowered.
Our Mission
To inspire, mobilise and bring communities together to support vulnerable families, especially asylum seekers and refugees. Our mission is that we all come together to cherish and celebrate our diversity through education, training and art.
Sustainability
Our fundraising strategies will be constantly developed and reviewed. We will be using the Mosque, community centre, and the charity shop/café to generate income along with providing services. We will also be creating passive online income channels to support the sustainability of the foundation.
Our Strategic Approach
The Frist Mosque in Birtley, UK
Build the first mosque and community centre in Birtley to serve as a hub for people from all and non-religions. it will be a place where we will provide support and facilitate dialogue and raise funds.
Emergency support
Provide in-kind and financial support to asylum seekers and refugees who are in immediate need.
Educaiton / Training
Provide educational training for asylum seekers and refugees in key areas including soft skills, employability, British culture and values to enable them to integrate and flourish in their new local communities.
NAvigation training
Support asylum seekers and refugees in understanding and navigating the social, economic and educational system in the UK to help them access the available resources and support to help them to settle down.
Art & Diversity
Promote art for diversity and through art exhibitions, organising workshops and hosting talks.
Nikah support
Providing nikah services for the local community and beyond, including; pre-nikah workshops, symbolic marriage ceremonies and nikah counselling for couples.
Shops
Establish a unique chain of in-person and virtual charity shops/café where products are available for free for asylum seekers and refugees, and at subsided prices for the locals.
Promote Positivity
Promote awareness, promote the foundations’ values, educational and training programmes.
